 B i o g r a p h y

Born on the 7th day of the month September, In the city of Lagos Nigeria, David Effiong Idioh from the southern region of West Africa (Akwa-Ibom state)  started off as a young self-taught piano player, at the age of 10 he played the piano in his family church -Deeper life Bible church, and developed the gift of music by associating with his local Church choir, from district to Zonal and then National level. Being born into a Christian home, he accordingly spent most of his childhood years in gospel music practice. 

 

In the year 2000 he continued his musical ambition in Cross River, the city of Calabar- west Africa by Joining the Redeemed Christian church of God Choir, In no time he was spotted out and began to lead in worship and praise songs for the Church, In 2004 while on his B.Sc program in Geography and regional planning at the University Of Calabar, he was made Music Director In RCCG; with this he persevered in organising remarkable concerts and musical events with various choir groups. 

 

In 2012 in the quest of becoming professional, David Idioh earned a diploma program in Music theory at the Music Society Of Nigeria (MUSON) with an excellent result from a UK based affiliate - The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)

In 2013 after he was offered a full tuition fee scholarship Award by the Stepping Stones group in Ireland, David broadened his musical expedition b y taking up a Master Degree program in Community Music at the University Of Limerick, Ireland. During which he met with sundry internationals and local talents, this curriculum made him get involved in various group facilitations around Ireland, from Voluntary to paid roles; Graduated from his Masters program at the University of Limerick in 2014 and is presently the Musical Director of the Limerick Gospel Choir Ireland.
